These puff pastry cheese shapes are incredibly tasty and very simple to make. It is a perfect recipe to make on a busy weekend to keep any hungry children happy until their lunch or dinner time. They are also fantastic to add to your child’s lunch box.

Ingredients

Ready Rolled Puff Pastry

Mature Cheddar Cheese (Grated and as much as you would like to put on the shapes)

Free Range Egg Yolk

Method

Pre-heat the oven to the required time which will be found on the packet of the puff pastry.

Unroll the puff pastry sheet.

Use different shape cutters to cut shapes from the pastry.

When cutting the shapes make sure you go as close as you can to the edge of the pastry on to the other cut shape.

Once the shapes have been cut, place onto a lined baking tray.

Brush the egg yolk onto the top of the pastry shapes.

Sprinkle the cheese over the shapes.

Place into pre-heated oven.

The time to allow for baking will be on the packet of the ready rolled pastry.

Remove from oven, allow to cool then enjoy!
