This past year I have learned that I have quite a creative flair. When I saw this competition to design a blind I just had to give it a go. Illustrating my children’s books has taught me how to convert hand drawn sketches into high quality digital images.

As you can see from the samples of my children’s books below.

The competition, run by Order Blinds, asks for you to design a blind pattern which can be used for a blind for your child’s bedroom. My 21 month old daughter has a woodland themed bedroom. My wonderfully talented mother has made her a beautiful woodland bedding set which you can see in the photograph below.

My Children’s Blind Design

We are yet to find a blind or a set of curtains that we like for her room. We wanted something simple, which is how I came up with this pattern. I love the fox and daisy design, it will make any room feel like the spring sunshine is coming through the bedroom window. The design is also great as it could easily go onto any colour background.

What do you think of my design? Would you have it in your child’s bedroom?
