Salt dough is so incredibly easy to make and all you need is three ingredients. I often add spices to mine, especially around Christmas time. I have just added cinnamon to a dough that I made tonight.
One tip I must tell you about is that you must always flour your hands before handling any dough. So before you start kneading make sure your hands are floured and each time your hands start to feel sticky, put your hands back into the flour.
1 Cup Salt
2 Cups Plain Flour
1 Cup Water
Pour the salt and flour into a mixing bowl.
Gradually pour in the water. Using a large spoon mix until all water is combined.
Flour your hands and start to knead.
Knead until the dough is soft.
Wrap in cling film and store in the fridge.
I find that storing overnight and using the next day gives the best results.
Shape your dough. Place on a lined baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 125c for 2-3hours or leave overnight to air dry.
