I made these a few weeks back when my son was asking for chocolate cake but I didn’t have the ingredients for cake. It is probably the most simple recipe I will ever put on here! It takes only minutes to prepare and not much longer to bake!
Serve warm with ice cream for the perfect desert.
Easy Chocolate Pastry Swirls
Ready Made Puff Pastry
Chocolate Spread (As much or as little as you like)
Pre-heat the oven at 180C.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Roll out the puff pastry, leave it on the backing paper as you can use this to help you roll it back up once filled. Smooth over the chocolate spread. Roll tightly back to how the puff pastry was originally rolled.
Cut the pastry roll to make individual swirls. Do this by marking roughly 5cm lines down the pastry, then cut. Try not to lean on the pastry roll whilst cutting as this will squish it.
Place the sliced pastry swirls flat onto the prepared baking tray. Make sure you spread them out as they will grow once baking.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cooked all the way through.
Serve warm with ice cream or eat once cooled.
